ACLS Instructor Course Registration

Course Overview

The AHA ACLS Instructor Course prepares qualified provider candidates to teach Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses in accordance with the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA).

This course provides the tools and instructional methods needed to effectively teach resuscitation courses, facilitate learning, and evaluate student performance. Participants will learn how to lead courses, conduct skills practice and testing, and ensure students meet AHA course completion requirements.

Course Format & Duration

Total Time: Approximately 16 Hours

• 8 Hours – Online, Self-Paced Learning

  • Completion of the AHA ACLS Essentials Online Course

  • A Certificate of Successful Completion must be printed and presented prior to attending the classroom session

  • Note: The ACLS Essentials Online Course is not included in the registration fee

• 8 Hours – In-Person Classroom Training

  • Instructor methodology

  • Hands-on practice

  • Course delivery preparation

  • Instructor candidate monitoring preparation

Instructor Candidate Prerequisites

All participants must:

• Hold a current AHA ACLS Provider Card

• Complete an Instructor Candidate Application

• Submit a Letter of Recommendation

• Align with an AHA Training Center by registering on the Atlas system

• Successfully complete the AHA ACLS Essentials Online Course (not included in course fee)

Prior to attending class, candidates must email or submit:

• Copy of current ACLS Provider Card (front and back)

• Completed Instructor Candidate Application

• Letter of Recommendation

All documentation must be received and approved by our Training Center before the classroom session.

Course Materials

Course manuals are not provided with registration.

Manuals may be ordered directly through LifeTek or one of the approved vendors listed in your confirmation email.
