Welcome to our Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course, designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies. This course covers essential techniques such as CPR, AED usage, and choking relief in a safe, supportive learning environment.

Course Details

Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Certification:

  • Successfully pass the written test and skills demonstration to earn an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Card (valid for two years).
  • Your eCard will be issued within 2-3 business days of course completion.

Required Materials:

  • Access to the current AHA Basic Life Support Provider Manual is mandatory before, during, and after the course.
  • Manuals can be purchased during registration (price includes tax).

Welcome to the Basic Life Support (BLS) Online Part 1 Course!

We’re excited to guide you through this essential training in life-saving techniques. Prepare to master critical skills to respond confidently in emergencies.


Course Overview

In this course, you'll learn to:

  • Master BLS Techniques: Single-rescuer and team-based BLS for adults, children, and infants.
  • Recognize Emergencies: Learn to identify and respond to life-threatening situations.
  • Perform High-Quality Chest Compressions: Apply effective CPR techniques.
  • Provide Effective Ventilation: Use ventilation techniques to support patients.
  • Use an AED: Learn to operate an Automated External Defibrillator.
  • Administer the Heimlich Maneuver: Practice techniques to relieve choking.

Course Details

  • Online Course (Part 1):

    • You’ll receive a link from LifeTek within 1-2 business days to access the online course.
    • Complete the course at your own pace.
    • Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
  • Skills Practice (Part 2):

    • Attend in-person sessions for hands-on practice and skills demonstration.
    • Be sure to PRINT your online course completion certificate, which includes your name and score, and bring it to class.
    • Duration: 1 hour.
    • Note: Fees will apply for the skills session.

Completion Requirements

  • Complete Both Parts: You must successfully finish the Online Part 1 and Hands-On Part 2 to receive your AHA BLS Course Completion Card.
  • E-Card Issuance: Expect your BLS e-card within 2-3 business days after completing both parts.

Thank you for choosing LifeTek for your ACLS training! This engaging and essential program from the American Heart Association (AHA) has been updated with the latest 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC.


Course Overview:

HeartCode® ACLS is a comprehensive, self-directed eLearning experience designed to prepare healthcare providers to manage cardiac emergencies confidently. The course includes:

  • Immersive eSimulations to navigate realistic patient scenarios
  • Practice in team dynamics
  • Completion of 10 hospital-based case scenarios
  • Written exam concluding Part 1, the cognitive component of the course

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize and manage periarrest conditions effectively
  • Demonstrate proficiency in BLS care, including AED use
  • Manage respiratory and cardiac arrest with confidence
  • Provide immediate post-cardiac arrest care
  • Initiate management of acute coronary syndromes and strokes
  • Apply effective communication within a resuscitation team

Certification and Credits:

Successful completion of Parts 1 and 2 qualifies you for an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card.

This course is certified for continuing education credits for:

  • Physicians (ACCME/AMA)
  • Nurses (ANCC)
  • Pharmacists (ACPE)
  • EMS Practitioners (CECBEMS)

Course Logistics:

  • E-Card Issuance: Your AHA eCard will be issued within 2-3 business days after completing the skills session.

Welcome to the PALS HeartCode® Skills Session with LifeTek!

We're excited to guide you through your Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. This session is designed to enhance your skills in managing pediatric emergencies, ensuring you're fully prepared for real-world scenarios.


Course Overview:

1. Hands-On Skills Practice:

After completing the HeartCode® PALS online course, join us for the hands-on skills practice and testing session with an AHA-certified PALS instructor. Please note the PALS Online Course is NOT INCLUDED in this course.

2. Certification:

Upon successful completion of both parts (online course and skill session, you will receive the AHA PALS Course Completion Card, valid for two years. This certification is the same as the traditional PALS course.


Important Information:

Online Part 1:

The HeartCode® PALS online course is not included in this skills session.

Certificate Requirement:

Please bring your completion certificate (with your name and score) from the online portion to the skills session.

eCard Issuance:

The AHA BLS Heartcode Part 2 Skills Evaluation is for those who have completed one of the following online courses:  AHA BLS Heartcode Online Course OR the BLS Healthcare Learning Alliance On Demand Virtual Course.  

 Once you completed the online course and the in-person skills you will receive the same card as if you took the full Classroom version.
